We luckily drove to the airport in Monterey
early to be sure we could find it. I made Joanie
stop so I could take this great photo, which lead to
us going in to check on our flight.....which we were told
had been cancelled due to weather. Good to know since we
then had to drive to San Francisco to catch our
connection! But....I didn't have to go for another
ride on the prop plane! whew. All in all, a nice
whirlwind trip.
There are alot of cool shops on
this street. I went in a sock shop
and bought a pair of socks with
Guadaloupe Mary on them, and
also Lakshmi, Indian goddess of
abundance and prosperity. I didn't win
$212 mill on the California lotto last night
though. darn. But, Mother Mary was certainly
a presence during the drive to follow.
Outside the "Hello Kitty" store
was Glinda the good witch. Kind of
goes along with the rainbow, Kansas
theme of the trip!
After the conference, we went to
Cannery Row and went in a few
shops. If you enlarge photo, you
can see a "Hello Kitty" sign. Cool
shop. yes, we went in.
